This annual family celebration has grown into a tremendous event that attracts over 5000 residents. The day begins with the traditional flag raising ceremony, followed by a full day of entertainment in the Bandstand, with kids activities, multi-cultural foods, a giant craft market, and a grand finale!

First Sunday in August - Jazz & Blues Festival - Maple Ridge
The annual Maple Ridge Jazz and Blues Festival offers a colourful outdoor festival featuring some of B.C.'s best jazz and blues artists, performing on two stages in Maple Ridge's downtown core. Centre Stage is at the Bandstand in Memorial Peace Park and festivities run from noon to 9 p.m. The event includes an Arts and Crafts Market, an International Food Fair, and children's activities. This event is always a smashing success that attracts thousands of music lovers.
